Bríd O’Mahony is an experienced primary school teacher. Bríd has a particular interest in supporting pupils experiencing difficulties with reading, writing and spelling. Bríd is currently working in a DEIS band 1 school in Dublin city as a Special Needs Coordinator and Learning Support Teacher.
Bríd taught in Scoil Caitríona, a primary school which specialists in teaching pupils with dyslexia before taking up her current position.
Bríd holds an honours degree in English, a Post Graduate Diploma in Special Needs and a Masters of Education in Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia).
Based in Terenure, she works with her colleague, Lisa, at The Dyslexia Institute. She is available to evaluate the learning strengths and needs of primary school children and can design an evidenced based multisensory programme tailored to address the learning needs of children with dyslexia/specific learning difficulties.
